Teach your kids to LOVE sewing with theses cute heart shaped and Valentine’s Day inspired sewing projects!
This year for homeschool we have been doing a handiwork project and working on sewing skills a few times a week!
We started with a yarn sewing project on plastic canvas. My 7 year old also loves to sew with felt, and she made her own heart shaped pillow with cotton and stuffing!
Kids CAN sew. They can start with plastic needles with a mesh fabric, or go straight to a real hand needle with supervision. You will be surprised how well they do!
Sewing is a great way to help kids create, feel accomplished, learn a valuable skill, and practice coordination. Try out these Valentine’s sewing tutorials this February for simple, kids projects!
