I’ve been in a very quilty mood lately after making my kids a baby clothes memory quilt, as well as making a Thanksgiving quilted table runner.
It is so fun to scroll through gorgeous quilt blocks and patterns and imagine which one I’m going to make next… do you know the feeling?

Brightly Quilt Pattern
The Brightly quilt pattern caught my eye with it’s two square sizes and very cute chicken fabric. This pattern has a very classic farmhouse feel to it, but also feels modern and fresh with the crisp white background.
Happy Stripes

All I can think of when I see the Happy Stripes Quilt is a birthday party. Doesn’t it look like candles or a cake to you? This pattern is bold and bright, a great way to use jellyrolls!
Scrappy Trails
The arrows on the Scrappy Trails quilt point all all directions, moving your eye around the quilt in an exciting way. Another great jelly roll option, with a simple, lovely design anyone could master!
Floored Quilt
The geometric patterns of the Floored Quilt are large scale and seem to pop off the quilt. The ‘X’ shapes in the background are as interesting to look at as the main star motifs.

The Garden Lattice quilt is charming and serene, and really does look like it belongs in a quiet garden! What drew me to it was the angles of the fabric strips. This is one of my favorites on the list, one that I will have to try very soon.

The possibilities on this quilt are endless. I am obsessed with how scrappy rustic it could look, or even modern and abstract. You can layout the blocks in many ways, and although it looks complicated, it requires no tricky triangle piecing (if you can believe it!)
Shawl Quilt
The Shawl pattern is a strip piecing quilt that produces an intricate plaid pattern. The Pinks in this sample quilt look almost as if they are really woven threads overlapping and making darker squares in the pattern. Fabric color selection is important in this quilt, and really makes it stand out from the rest.
Home Quilt
Something about the Home quilt pattern is a show stopper… not because it is loud or bold but because it is sentimental and very familiar. This is one of those patterns that I love more and more, the more I look at it. Every cottage needs the Home quilt spread out on the bed.
Upwards
So many quilt patterns I see utilize fat strips and large blocks, and this quilt does exactly the opposite. The focus here is on the thin shapes make with very simple colors, and the result is striking! Modern and crisp, the upwards quilt is a beautiful design that could be very versatile using different fabric combinations.
Christianna Quilt Pattern
This PDF pattern has everything you want in a quilt. Country charm, bold shapes, colors that pop, exciting designs, and a familiar rustic feel. I can see this quilt being a favorite to lay out in the grass and have a summer’s picnic!
Spring Equinox
Spring Equinox is an almost painterly quilt pattern, the colors of the petals seem to overlap each other like layers of paint. The flowers in this design are retro and playful. This is going to be a conversation piece AND a statement piece.
Conclusion
I could go on and on with these fresh and modern quilts! Each one is so striking in it’s own way, I wish I could make them all!
